#14 Kecskemét: I love being a missionary!!

This week was my 5 month anniversary of being a missionary! This was another week of travel. On Tuesday we went on splits in Szeged. I love Szeged, it is absolutely beautiful, and I like the bigger more urban feel. Elder Biesinger and I had two lessons which was awesome! One of them I shared a scripture and the lady cried, good tears, it was a new experience for my mission. She then gave us 10 kilos of apples, they were the best apples I've had in Hungary. We also had a lesson with one of their investigators, about how precious the gospel is in our lives. I shared with her the parable of the pearl of great price. We also talked about Lehi's dream. It was fun. We went to the lesson with Robi, an awesome member in Szeged that I met last time at their branch Christmas activity. We had lunch at Burger King, and It was so good, but we ate way to much. Robi was astonished at how much American boys can eat and how big the hamburgers were. Another Angle on Elder Morgan

There’s a funny story about Ted in this blog post from his companions mission blog . Here’s what his companion wrote: “Also this week, I got a mission long sleeve T-shirt that says 'Hungary, Budapest Mission" and it has a map of Hungary in the middle. My companion ordered the same one but the one that came said "I heart my Missionary." It was funny because instead of just sending it to his mom to wear or something he just crossed out "ary" with a sharpie marker and now he gets a lot of funny looks when he wears it.”

#12 Szeged: Short and Sweet... but be home soon

This week was fantastic! We got the 3rd member of our companionship this week. Elder Emang is so cool, I love him, I almost wish that I wasn't leaving two weeks into the transfer. This week we had a good number of lessons, the Saturday branch activity, and one of our investigators came to church. Tuesday was also my "last day" as in I had my final interview, self reliance, dinner and testimony meeting. It was really great, I was able to get spend time with Elders Katics, Burnett, and Spencer. Its really strange to be in the post "last day of my mission phase" and pre-going to airport part of my mission. It all feels really real, and strange, and It makes me sad and happy all at the same time. I don't know. We taught a good number of lessons, had one investigator in church, and the branch party was awesome. We had a really good lesson with one of our investigators, and we brought two members.
