#4 MTC: More Responsibility

I've been here 4 weeks! Crazy! So there are 3 big items of news this week.

1. I was released as district leader on Sunday. But Udy Elder and I were called to be the Zone Leaders. So now we have responsibility over the whole zone! Right now I think there are 30 members of the Zone/branch. The MTC currently has 43 branches. We get a flip phone, and we get to lead Sunday meetings and do interviews with the district leaders, and we get to welcome, love and support new members of our zone!

2. Last Wednesday we got 6 Albanian Elders. They are awesome! They are Elders: Burton, Werhli, Larson, Theobald, Richardson, and Ihasz. Elder Ihasz is actually a quarter Hungarian. And Elder Theobald is from Papillion, NE. In fact he lives within the area that my family is looking for houses, and the Theobald's only live 15 minutes from our old house in Omaha! It's fun to have another Nebraskan who knows all the cool Nebraska things. This evening we also get 3 Turkish speaking elders.

3. All the ASL (American Sign Language) elders left this week. They have been with us since we got here, and Elder Johnson and Elder McGrath were our first zone leaders. It feels weird to have all of them gone, its like family left. You get so close. I'm so excited for each of them, that they are now out there as real missionaries. Most everyone left Tuesday morning, at 3 or 4 o'clock, and as zone leaders we had to wake up and sign forms and stuff so we were very tired yesterday. Everyone left except Elder McGrath, so we had a sleep over with him, and we had a Hungarian/ASL trio yesterday, which was a lot of fun. He left early this morning.

Last week at TRC (Teaching member volunteers) we taught about scripture study. We taught Brandon again, and we taught this lady named Silvia who is a native Hungarian. She said that we spoke well and that we did a good job at making here think we understood what she said, which we did not, lol!

Last night we had Elder Braggs of the 70, speak at the devotional. My favorite thing he said is that we need to look at our lives and at everyone around us though heavens eyes. We need to keep the prospective of our Heavenly Father, and set realistic goals for our selves based on what our Heavenly Father would want. We need to remember that as we find and teach people, we need to remember who they are, children of God!

We had like three days of rain last week, and now the tops of the mountains, and most of MT Timpanogous have snow on them. It's so cool! Love you all!
