#11 Szeged: Record Breaking Week

Well we did it, This week we broke my mission record of having 14 lessons in one week, we had 15 lessons! It was crazy, I like teaching lessons, but when that is all, it makes your brain and tongue tired. It was a ride. We focused on specifically focusing on the sacrament and on making covenants with heavenly father. We had a lot of investigators and returning members tell us that they were going to come to church, but they all stood us up. It hurt, but I hope that our efforts still left an impact. Bitter sweet.

We had a couple really powerful lessons with returning members this week. We focused on one of our lessons on finding faith in Christ. With that we read with him Mosiah chapter 3, and then watched "finding faith in Christ" I've found that the more I focus on Christ, the spirit is always more abundant. We also had taught a Man about how our attendance and dedication to church and keeping the sabbath day holy reflects the sacred covenants that we have made, we used Exodus 31:12-17. We pretty much focused on Christ and his Gospel (faith, repentance, baptism...) with all of our returning members, they were all really great lessons.

Our best investigator lesson we taught last night, we taught Marcell about Christs atonement, and the latter half of the plan of salvation. We focused on how the plan of salvation prepares us to live together for ever with our families. At the end we shared with him the family a proclamation to the world. It really touched him. We asked him "do you want to live with your family forever?" He said, of course, what could I want more than that. We asked him to give the closing prayer, and he thanked God that he could talked with others who believed that family was as important as he did. With him that is going to have to be our focus moving on, the importance of his family.

It was a good week.

We also went on an adventure to the mighty city of Hódmezővásárhely (thats a long name), did some member look ups. it was fun :)

This week I read D&C 82, and verse 14 stuck out to me: “For Zion must increase in beauty, and in holiness; her borders must be enlarged; her stakes must be strengthened; yea, verily I say unto you, Zion must arise and put on her beautiful garments.” One of our goals in the Hungary Romania mission is to strengthen the stake of Zion in Budapest, and central Hungary. I've worked for that for my hole mission, I've spent almost all of it in the stake, I've grown to love this stake of Zion. We need to help it become more strong and more holy to prepare for the temple that it will run and staff. Like president Southwick said, brick by brick we need to build it (Zion and the temple) in our hearts. Just a thought.

Love elder Morgan.
